Monneville- Eiffel Tower 35.5 miles

The final big stretch of the journey!

Started of with a few ‘lovely’ (not) hills and body pains set in immediately. But we made it and enjoyed them.

Here we are outside a really pretty Palace, quick photo opportunity.
And by the River Seine somewhere on the outskirts of Paris

Danger struck 3.5 miles to the Eiffel Tower when we were a bit lost on the map from building/road works. Whilst cycling and looking at my map I clipped a roadworks sign and flew off my bike (low point of the day) but brushed myself off and hit the road. May need to get my hand checked out when I’m back home. But none of my lovely nails were damaged in the accident.

Bells of Brixton on tour. The pics below are what we came for.

But here we are!! Brixton-Eiffel Tower 180 miles completed.

Would I do it again? In a heartbeat

We did it and now it’s wine o’clock.

Dieppe- Monneville 80miles

After a solid 3hr sleep we were of the ferry and on the road at 5:30am. It was complete darkness until 6:45ish which added to the adventure. Then it was over 30degrees and I even have the cycling tan lines to prove it.

Here I am with the perfect breakfast, cappuccino with whipped cream, a chocolate eclair and an almond croissant bigger than my hand….. yes I ate them both!
A few pictures of the lovely scenery!
Lunch- yes more bread and wine to keep us going
So today’s low point- at mile
60 cycling up a masssssssive hill (in the heat) about 1.5miles long I’ve called it Ben Nevis.
We also realised it was probably a good time to swap emergency contacts incase one of us died cycling up hill.
High point- making it through the whole day with no embarrassing falls, and completing Ben Nevis then laughing about how ‘lovely’ that hill was. Also the giant croissant was delightful.

But smiles for the full 80 or so miles today.

P.S- all pictures are makeup free.

Brixton-Newhaven

So 63 miles and the first leg of the journey is completed. Were on the ferry and enroute to Dieppe 🇫🇷

A few pictures from our journey today…
